HAVAN CEREMONY

To mark the commencement of new academic session 2019-2020, K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad organised a Havan Ceremony on 16th July 2019. Students and faculty members in overwhelming numbers participated in the blissful ceremony. The Havan was conducted to introduce students to the righteous virtuous value system of the college. On this sacred occasion, Principal Dr. Vandana Mohla welcomed the new students, blessed them and guided them to imbibe the principles of diligence, punctuality and discipline to achieve success in life and emphasized upon the students, the importance of following rules and regulations of the institutions.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY celebrate in K.L. Mehta Dayanand College for Women, Faridabad

DEPARTMENT OF SCIENCE

The Department of Science organised a National Seminar sponsored by DGHE on 30th March 2019. The seminar highlighted the "Emerging Trends in Life Services", Biotechnology and conservation strategies". Padamshree Prof. S.K. Shourie, Former Vice Chancellor, JNU, New Delhi was the chief guest on the occasion. Various Inter and Intra College Science Competitions were held. an Inter College debate competition was organised by Manav Rachna Institute of Research and studies on 27th March 2019 in which Mansi Arora of B.Sc. (Non-Medical) Final year got trophy and cash prize of Rs. 3000. In Inter college competition held at Aggarwal college, Ballabgarh, our students got third position. The students participated in Inter University Annual Science Marathon held at DAV College on 22 Feb 2019 and got first prize in Quiz Competition. Our students were awarded with overall running trophy at SMM College, Palwal. An Inter district science exhibition was held at JLN College, Faridabad on 15 Feb 2019 and our students got third position in Model Making.

YOUNG INTACH CLUB

Department of history has set up INDIAN NATIONAL TRUST FOR ARTS AND CULTURAL HERITAGE (INTACH) with the vision to spread head heritage awareness and conversation in and around Faridabad under the able guidance of Mr. Anand Mehta, President MDES. The main aim and objective of INTACH is to create and stimulate awareness amongst the young generation for the preservation of the cultural and natural heritage of India. Keeping this mission in mind INTACH CLUB of college organizes different Inter College Competition was held to fulfil this purpose in which various colleges participated.

SPORTS DAY

K.L. MEHTA DAYANAND COLLEGE FOR WOMEN, FARIDABAD celebrated its Annual Athletic Meet on 5th March 2019. It was a day filled with fervour and exhilaration. The event commenced with the felicitation of the venerable chief guest, Ms. Barlina Rana, City Megistrate. To mark a beautiful beginning Principal Dr. Vandana Mohla greeted the chief guest with a floral welcome. The chief guest also took the salute of the impressive March Past of the students. Around 1500 students participated will full verve and vigour. It was delight to see the excitement with which the students challenged to attempt a variety of races viz. Sackrace, Long Jump, High Jump, Shotput, 50 meter race, 200 meter race etc. The Programme ended with distribution of prizes among the winners.

ANNUAL PRIZE DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION

The Annual Function of college was held on 10th April 2019. The programme started with the lighting of the lamp. Prof. Rajbir Sing, Vice Chancellor. State University of performing and Visual Arts Rohtak was the chief guest Principal Dr. Vandana Mohla readout the Annual Report. The events of the day-long programme included Group song, Sitar Recital, Play and Qawwali. The Chief Guest distributed cash prizes among the University rank holders. Student were honoured for their academic and non academic achievements. The chief guest also delivered a valuable speech and encouraged students for their laudable performances. He congratulated the principal and staff on progress made by the college. The principal thanked the chief guest and the function came to close with National Anthem.
